Sales Policy
All testing, health certificate, crates, transport and associated costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We are always willing to test any goat for anything (DNA, health, etc) at the buyer's expense before sale.
If you have questions about any of our animals or our sales policy, please reach out to us BEFORE sending deposits/purchasing animals.
Available animals:
A non-refundable deposit of half an animal's purchase price is required to hold available animals for up to 30 days. This includes reserved kids when born. Deposits are only refunded or transferable to a new goat if the animal becomes sick, injured, or dies before leaving, or is retained by the seller for any other reason. Boarding charges apply after 30 days, WITH prior arrangements. Cost of boarding will be assessed on an individual basis. Payments are accepted, but animals must be paid in full, including any checks cleared, before leaving. We accept PayPal, Venmo, cash, or checks.
All registered bucks/buck kids purchased at full price will have DNA test and sire (sometimes both parents if dam is tested) verification included in sale. DNA testing will be the responsibility of the buyer for any reduced price buck kids.
Kid reservations/kidding schedule:
-Please understand that we make breedings for ourselves, first and foremost. We usually retain quite a few kids each year for evaluation as milkers. We reserve the right to retain any and all kids, regardless of reservations.
-We keep a list of people interested in kids by doe, and contact in the order that we receive them. The reservation list is free.
-Once a kid is born from your reservation of choice, you will be contacted and have 48 hours to confirm you would like it and send a deposit, after which time we will offer to our next person in line.
-All kids are raised on a strict disease prevention program (pulled at birth, heat treated colostrum, pasteurized milk) using bottles or lambars, unless otherwise noted.
Health Guarantee:
Once an animal leaves our hands, we cannot be responsible for its health and well-being; this includes while in transit. We will replace/refund for pre-existing conditions or inability to breed that is not caused by management only. We test our whole herd annually for CAE (see testing here) and any new purchases are tested for Johnes, CL, and CAE. If a goat is travelling out of state, a health certificate/CVI is required by law and costs approximately $45. Some states require additional testing and that will mean additional fees.
Shipping:
Air shipping is our preferred method to decrease stress on the animal. We can airship out of Boise, ID, which is a 2 hour drive each way for us. There is a $150 transport fee for fuel to/from the airport. 2 kids of similar size can ship in one crate to save on shipping costs. Adult Nigerians can also sometimes be air shipped. Ground transportation options are also available regularly. We always welcome and even encourage pick up at the farm whenever possible.
Registered doe and buck prices vary based on quality, pedigree, and demand. Wethers are available for a short time after they are born. We rarely sell unregistered does. We do not sell unregistered bucks.
